We're big fans of the revamped Spitalfields Market. Sure, we love the old East End too with it's multi-cultural and alternative lifestyle, but the new Spitalfields is just too pretty to hate. Not just that, but the food options are huge - so we knew a restaurant would have to be something extra special to catch our eye here... and the Luxe is just that.

What else would you expect from the talented Masterchef judge John Torode? We're big fans of his Smiths of Smithfield and unsurprisingly the Luxe is an evolution of that success. Like Smith's, there is a theme to each floor - from private dining on the top floor through to a club/bar in the basement. Whatever you want (within reason), you're sure to find it lurking somewhere at the Luxe.

Not to worry, there's only space for one Masterchef at the Luxe

They do fantastic food here ranging from the simple, yet tasty, Luxe burger (also available from the 'outdoor' grill at lunchtimes to more sophisticated Pot Roast Pheasant via pork bellies and sumptuous steaks. You are bound to be more than satisfied by your meal here - whatever takes your fancy. It's all good, seasonal and sensibly sourced food.
